In 1994 Disney and Lion King did normal advertising through adverts, flyers, trailers in cinemas, and general advertising in newspapers and magazines.   However, their unique advertising worked the best, Tie-ins and merchandise:  Burger King, Mattel, Kodak, Nestlé and Payless Shoes,  Merchandise, accounting for 186 licensed products.  In 1994, Disney earned approximately $1 billion with products based on the film, with $214 million for Lion King toys during Christmas 1994 alone. How Would I do it? If  I  was to  advertise  Lion King now,  I  would  flood  every  platform  with trailer advertisements, including  YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, FaceBook etc.  I would hold events with lions and animals at zoos to promote the film through entertainment, hoping that younger ages would enjoy seeing the lions and many make them watch the film with their parents. Job roles and the production process (LO1)

Storyboard artist -  Responsible for creating a visual representation of a story. Director - Accountable for filming the scenes based on the finalised script and storyboard. Editor -Responsible for taking raw footage and organising them into the correct sequence in the film Casting Director -Responsible for all casting-related tasks within a media product. CBI Artist - Responsible for creating visual effects through computer-generated imagery. Camera operator -Responsible for recording all sound on set during filming. Production sound mixer -  Responsible for the artistic and dramatic aspects of the media product. Foley artist -  Responsible for physically reproducing sound effects needed in the film. Screenwriter/scriptwriter -  Responsible for writing the script for a media product, like a film.

Conglomerate -  a structure with one parent company that owns several smaller companies (subsidiaries).     Each of a conglomerate’s subsidiaries runs independently but supports the wider goal and objectives of the parent company. Subsidiary - a smaller company that is owned and ultimately controlled by a larger one.  Independent -  companies that are free from the control of a conglomerate.     Independent companies usually specialize in producing one type of media product or service. Public service broadcaster -  a company that delivers services beneficial to the public interest.     This type of company will offer products to the audience that go beyond the purpose of entertainment and many products are made specifically to inform, educate and widen participation.
